Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (ABFRL)’s: New age digital brands to contribute constructively to its revenue in 5 years

Over the next 3-5 years, around 10 percent of Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (ABFRL)’s revenue will come from new-age digital brands, says Ashish Dikshit, Managing Director. The company will help brands extend categories, manage their working capital requirements, etc.

The company will also help brands manage finances, acquire new technologies, gain access to marketplace platforms and partners, sourcing and supply chain systems. This will help them scale up faster and more efficiently.

However, ABFRL will also buy a majority stake in the D2C brands it plans to invest in.

It will acquire 25-30 brands in the next three to five years. Of this 7-10 brands will be added in the first 12-14 months.

The company will also launch three to four of its own online first brands during this period It will raise new funds while still remaining an ABFRL company.
