Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce behemoth, has created 4,000 new positions

Flipkart, a Walmart-owned e-commerce behemoth, is establishing four new fulfillment and sortation centers in Bhiwandi and Nagpur, resulting in the creation of 4,000 employment in Maharashtra.
The amenities, which cover a total area of 7 lakh square feet, allow local vendors get access to the pan-India market. The firm stated in a statement that it intended to help local vendors in the state and meet the rising demand for e-commerce. The state's Industries Minister, Subhash Desai, has praised Flipkart's decision to invest in Maharashtra.
From a supply chain viewpoint, Maharashtra was designated as a major center by the firm. With the latest additions and expansions of existing facilities, Flipkart now has a total of 12 supply chain facilities in the state, spanning over 23 lakh square feet and employing over 20,000 people directly and indirectly. The new investments, according to the firm, will assist meet the state's rising e-commerce customer demand while also supporting the developing vendor ecosystem and improving the local economy. The number of vendors in the state has increased by 30% in the last year.
