Khadim India aims to be the 2nd largest retail footwear brand in India

Footwear firm Khadim India has chalked out plans to become the second largest retail footwear brand in the country. The company plans to collaborate, innovate and leverage strength to reach a premium position in the business segments.
Khadim India forayed into the Indian shoe business by setting up a small shoe store in Chitpur, Kolkata in 1965. The company aimed to cater to the need for affordable and quality footwear in the country.
The company entered the retail market in 1993 after establishing itself in the selling and distribution of branded basic utility footwear in the market. It later transformed from a wholesaler of footwear to manufacturer, retailer and distributor.
Currently, Khadim has a network of 799 retail outlets and 575 distributors. It is amongst the top three players in India and has one of the largest presence is in eastern India. The company recently forayed into the accessories segment with bags, wallets and belts.
