Raw Mango’s new festive collection highlights the natural sheen of Varni tissue silks.
Letting textiles make the statement, the collection features rich yet natural-hued saris with gold metallic selvage-to-selvage finishes and golden blouses in traditional cuts. The collection is a celebration of lustrous and classic metallics on silks from Chanderi and Varanasi and presents an edit of saris, textiles, and apparel/garments (T&C) that evoke memories of festivity and joy.
Raw Mango, launched in 2008 by Sanjay Garg and based in New Delhi, is known for its handloom saris and textiles. With roots in craft and community, Raw Mango's relationship with handloom began as an investigation of possibilities. As a design house, it continues to create new conversations in textile, culture, and politics through a range of saris, garments, and objects.
Created with karigars across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Varanasi, Raw Mango’s designs innovate upon century-old skills in pursuit of defining a new aesthetic vocabulary. Raw Mango draws from the colors, philosophies, and cultures of India to create a unique voice, questioning place, and perspective through design.
The brand retails from its dedicated e-commerce store and flagship stores in India, including its most recently opened store in Chennai, which launched this June.
