Spar India has appointed Ashish Oberoi, CIO, Foreever New as the new COO. Oberoi will work with all key stakeholders for business critical projects at Spar and will also build the firm’s IT framework and solutioning. At Forever New, he served as the head of the technology department where he was responsible for implementing IT strategies including digital and Omni channel.
Oberoi has 14 years in retail with different fashion brands like Blackberry’s and Adidas group where he was involved in building RFID based Order management system, POS implementation for over 1000+ stores, process automation on order execution at WH, and in building ecommerce platform and Omni Channel strategies.
Spar Hypermarkets in India is a partnership between Dubai based Landmark Group’s Max Hypermarkets India and Amsterdam based Spar International. The company started with one store in 1932 and now comprises of 12,500+ stores in 44 countries across 4 continents. It has 25 stores across 9 cities in India. These are in Bengaluru, Mangalore, Shimoga, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Gurugram, & Ghaziabad.
