Flipkart announced the sale of over 200 million fashion products in the Spring Summer Season witnessing the participation of over 175,000 sellers from Tier 2 and 3 cities.

Inditex signs a three-year commitment to buy Infinna™

Inditex signs a three-year commitment to buy Infinna™ upcycled textile fiber for over €100 million.

This purchasing commitment is significant for Infinited Fiber Company’s plans to scale up its recycling technology through its first large-capacity factory.

As part of this collaboration, Zara has today launched a capsule collection using this innovative high-quality fiber, which is created from clothing waste Inditex and Infinited Fiber Company today announced a new partnership with the shared goal of advancing new and innovative technologies towards textile-to-textile circular loop.

At the core of this partnership is Inditex´s three-year commitment to buy 30% of Infinited Fiber Company's annual future production volume of Infinna™, a textile fiber that can be created from 100% textile waste –a deal valued at more than €100 million.

The listed retailer and quick service restaurant chains open over 3000 doors or about 9 new stores every day on an average in FY 22. 

The retail sector bouned back strongly in FY 22 on the back of rapid vaccinations, a sharp decline in cases, and higher footfalls at prominent malls and high streets. 

Companies also said the opening of new stores in FY 21 was affected by delays and runtime delivery of real estate.

FRL Denies Amazon's Claim Of "Fraudulent Stratagem"

Future Retail Ltd (FRL) has denied Amazon's allegations that the debt-ridden firm's independent directors facilitated a "fraudulent stratagem" in transferring 835 stores to the Reliance group, saying the e-commerce major has been making "baseless" and "irrelevant" claims.

Future Retail Ltd (FRL) has denied Amazon's allegations that the debt-ridden firm's independent directors facilitated a "fraudulent stratagem" in transferring 835 stores to the Reliance group, saying the e-commerce major has been making "baseless" and "irrelevant" claims.

"At the outset, we deny all allegations made in the said media report by Amazon on the Company," FRL said in a clarification to BSE.

RELEVANT NEWS Future group promoter plans to plot a comeback in retail space

Last week, Amazon had accused FRL's independent directors of facilitating a "fraudulent stratagem" of transfer of 835 stores to Reliance Retail Venture.

FRL said Amazon has been writing to various regulators on one or the other point related to the company and has been making "baseless, irrelevant allegations".

Crocs and Chumbak have announced a collaboration and launched a line of bright, plastic clogs named ‘It’s a Vibe’.

The line of footwear was unveiled on 27 May 2022. It will be available on a multi-brand footwear e-commerce store Superkicks, Myntra’s e-commerce platform as well as in select Crocs and Chumbak stores in India.

Modi Meets CEO of Uniqlo

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met the CEO of Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo to discuss investment opportunities for the retailer in textile manufacturing in India.
