31 December 2021, Mumbai:
May Dhruva and Manish Saksena presented wearable luxury at Bangalore Times Fashion Week.
May Dhruva opened with a traditional style bridal collection mixing classic embellishments and silhouettes with fusion style motifs and micro-blouses. Deep crimson lehengas with 3D floral designs walked alongside rainbow chevron ensembles for a vibrant collection to cater to brides-to-be of every style.
Monochrome men’s wear looks were subtly textured with geometric embellishments and accessorised with jade jewelry. The show concluded with a deep red lehenga with a cropped velvet blouse and life-size 3D floral embellishments.
Manish Saksena’s latest traditional wear collection had a slightly more muted color palette with the emphasis being on the subtle luxury of his chosen weaves. Fine saris featured dots, checks, and tree-like patterns in colors including mauve, leaf green, blue, and red. With looks suitable for both day and night, the collection was a nostalgic yet wearable ode to the sari.
Bangalore Times Fashion Week was held from December 28 to 29, 2021. This season, the theme was sustainable fashion.
The fashion week was live streamed for free viewing on Flipkart Video through the Flipkart mobile app. Bangalore Times Fashion Week celebrates legendary designers while also nurturing young talent every season.
