'G.O.A.T Brands Lab' acquires 11 brands

17 November 2021, Mumbai:

Among these brands is the Mumbai-based children’s clothing brand Frangipani. GOAT Brand Labs, a Bangalore-based start-up, will help these brands with digital marketing, technology, working capital management, and channel expansion, among other things.

The aim is to work as a D2C accelerator platform and enable passionate founders and their brands and scale at least 25 D2C brands to Rs 100 crore plus in the next three to four years.

GOAT, which stands for Greatest Of All Time, is modeled on the US-based e-commerce start-up Thrasio which acquires small merchants and brands on leading e-commerce platforms and helps grow their business.

The founding team of the start-up comprises people with deep expertise in brand building, digital marketing, fashion design, M&A, and operations at scale. Through this venture, the start-up brings together passionate entrepreneurs, their D2C brands, marquee investors, industry experts, and a dynamic team, who believe in the philosophy of partnering and nurturing.

The aim is to enable these brands to have access to the best resources so that they scale rapidly to become GOATs themselves. GOAT fuels the growth of D2C brands across all channels — marketplaces, a brand’s e-commerce platforms, offline retail, and global markets, too, by providing a tech-enabled platform for end-to-end integration replete with deep digital marketing expertise.
