Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Union Minister of State for Textiles, hosted an interactive session in Chennai with key players in the Tamil Nadu textile industry.
The meeting also included Textiles Commissioner Roop Rashi, Principal Secretary of Tamil Nadu Dharmendra Yadav, and other state officials.
The Minister stated after the meeting that it was a really constructive discussion with a great exchange of ideas.

The conference took place at a time when raw cotton is in short supply and prices are rising, posing a significant challenge to the textile sector in Tamil Nadu.

She also gave the convocation speech at Chennai's National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Students received gold medals, cash rewards, and merit certificates from the Minister. At the 10th convocation, over 268 students received degrees.
This is Darshana Jardosh's second visit to Tamil Nadu in the previous month.
