Amethyst launches shopping fair to showcase the new ‘Shades of India’ collection

Multi-brand luxury Indian womenswear boutique Amethyst has launched a shopping event to showcase the new collection of ethnic wear brand Shades of India in Chennai.
From August 20 to 30, Amethyst will host the Annual Sale Shopping Fair for Shades of India. The pop-up shop will feature a range of kurtas, sarees, dupattas, blouses, and trousers as well as accessories in Shades of India’s signature cotton textiles.
Shades’ of India’s latest womenswear collection has a relaxed aesthetic with loose fit garments and breezy textiles. Featuring tactile appliqué details, the collection plays with texture to add a whimsical touch to its more paired down looks.
The collection is priced starting at Rs 600 ($8) for accessories and Rs 1,400 for garments. A selection of home textile goods including cushions and textile runners among other items is also available.

Founded in 1992, Shades of India is run by Mandeep Nagi and David Housego and has an international presence. The brand is present in a number of international multi-brand boutiques including Harrods and the Conran Shop in the UK, ABC and Gumps in the US, Le Bon Marche in Paris, and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.
