No other nation (in the top 5) has maintained a positive M-o-M trend in denim clothing exports to the United States during August of this year
9th October 2021, Mumbai:
Pakistan's remarkable denim clothing exports to the United States have persisted, as it was the only nation in the top five denim exporters to the United States that had an increase in shipments in August compared to July.
According to OTEXA, Pakistan exported the US $ 43.64 million worth of denim garments to the United States in August of this year, up 14.96 percent from July.
Notably, Pakistan outperformed Vietnam and China, which only managed to ship US $ 38.65 million and US $ 40.07 million of denim garments to the United States in August of this year, respectively, decreasing by 20.62 percent and 8.08 percent on a monthly basis.
The data shows that Vietnam's clothing industry has suffered as a result of the country's lockdown and increase in coronavirus infections.
It's worth noting that the value of US imports in the denim apparel category in August '21 was the US $ 357.49 million, down 4.51 percent from July '21.
Bangladesh, the leading denim clothing shipper, shipped the US $ 74.16 million to the US market in August '21, down 5.80 percent on a month-over-month basis, and stayed well ahead of Mexico, which shipped the US $ 60.33 million in August '21, a 9.48 percent monthly drop.
