Today is World Cotton Day! Farmers' conventions are organised by Pratibha Syntex (India)
8th October 2021, Mumbai:
Pratibha Syntex, India's largest garment manufacturing firm recognised for its sustainability initiatives, held a farmers' conference in Petlawad to commemorate World Cotton Day (Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh).
Around 250 farmers, many of whom were women, took part in the event. The event's Chief Guest was Dr. RS Tripathi, Agriculturist (CITI CDRA).
He told the audience that farmers should be curious in order to increase their output. Their revenue will rise as a result of their curiosity. He also gave the farmers some useful advice on how to enhance cotton yield while conserving resources.
The farmers, in particular, were grateful for Dr. Tripathi's advice.
Pratibha Syntex's MD, Shreyaskar Chaudhary, expressed thanks to the farmers for partnering with the firm. He praised the farmers' efforts, noting that the cotton they cultivate is sent to 40 nations.
Tarashila, Director of FPO, discussed her journey to success and how she established bio-input manufacturing in Mohankheda.
