Piyush Goyal: MOT urges the entire 'Cotton Value chain' to put in concerted efforts to place India in the global top ranking

Goel is optimistically exhorting textile industry captains cotton onwards "entire value chain" to respond to the opportunity the global marketplace offers the Indian Textile sector.
He states confidently given the sector underlying strength on the back of improvement in cotton cultivation practices, reducing import dependency and enhancement in productivity of Indian cotton all is well within the range to achieve this audacious goal of taking Indian Textile (IT) to its rightful place.
He further stressed that a series of back-to-back measures have been adopted by the Government of India & much-awaited policy intervention to improve the quality and productivity of cotton in the country besides taking a long-term call on the prospectus of this sector have changed the trade dynamics.
Minister offered heartfelt congratulations to 'CITI CDRA' on the completion of its well-achieved 'Golden Jubilee' also generously applauded its progressive & continued commitment to the cause of the development of cotton farmers and improvement in productivity.
Additionally, there is a tailwind been experienced on the back of the fact that govt is looking at stitching relevant FTAs with various sectors where textile is likely to be a natural beneficiary.
