SupplyCompass, based in the United Kingdom, is expanding into India and plans to recruit 200 people
22 November 2021, Mumbai:
SupplyCompass, a prominent FashTech firm located in the United Kingdom, is gearing up to grow its India operations, with plans to aggressively employ personnel across departments and add more brands to its platform.
The firm is recognised for assisting fashion firms in collaborating with their producers and promoting environmentally friendly practices. According to a statement released by the firm, it plans to onboard 5,000 fashion brands and their supply chains in India over the next year.
To support its expansion objectives, the firm is rapidly hiring across the board. In the following 12 to 18 months, they intend to hire 200 more people.
SupplyCompass intends to make India a strategic base for its operations in order to extend its footprint in South East Asian markets, according to its expansion goals. Gus Bartholomew and Flora Davidson founded the company in 2016, spending two years in India to establish the company on the ground, traveling to meet and investigate over 300 manufacturers and suppliers.
SupplyCompass has developed a technology platform that allows fashion companies and manufacturers to collaborate in real-time to get collections to market faster without sacrificing the quality of the final product.
"For us, India is of tremendous strategic importance," says Gus Bartholomew, co-founder and CEO of SupplyCompass. As more global companies prepare to launch in India, it is quickly becoming one of the world's fastest-growing fashion markets.
This is expected to have a knock-on effect in the industrial sector as well. We expect 'Make in India' and self-reliance India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) to boost India's fashion and textile scene, becoming India SupplyCompass's most significant market.`
