Woodland expects revenues to grow well this year

Footwear and apparel brand Woodland expects revenues to grow 10 per cent to Rs 1,000 crore in the current financial year as stores reopen and expand operations.
The retailer also expects sales to bounce back to pre-pandemic levels during the next few quarters. . Last year, Woodland recorded revenues worth Rs 700 crore.
Sales were impacted by the COVID-19 induced slowdown and restrictions on travel imposed in several places, says Harkirat Singh, Managing Director, Aero Club, the owners of Woodland.

The brand plans to go slow on retail expansion and open around 30 stores a years, adds Singh.
Having forayed into the Indian market in 1992, Woodland currently has over 500 company-owned stores and 5,000 multi-retail outlets across the country. The company plans to achieve sales worth Rs 2,500 crore by fiscal year 2025.
