One of India’s oldest and most respected home textile brands and a flagship company of the prestigious Wadia Group, Bombay Dyeing has issued a public alert regarding a major counterfeit operation involving bedsheet sets falsely marketed as ‘Coral Vine Plus’ under the company’s brand name and logo.
The company explicitly confirmed, Bombay Dyeing does not manufacture, market, or sell any product under the name ‘Coral Vine Plus.’
The issue surfaced when several consumers approached Bombay Dyeing’s two authorized retail showrooms in Calicut seeking pricing verification. Showroom personnel immediately identified the products as counterfeit, citing multiple glaring discrepancies such as use of the Bombay Dyeing name and logo without authorization, absence of the official Bombay Dyeing hologram sticker, inferior fabric quality compared to authentic Bombay Dyeing products, no product match found in the company’s official catalogue and misrepresentation to consumers through counterfeit packaging.
Authorized showroom staff has been guiding customers on how to verify genuine products using the company's official QR-coded hologram.
Shiroda Jena, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bombay Dyeing, emphasizes, safeguarding customers and protecting the brand’s integrity remains topmost priority, and we are taking immediate steps to identify the source of this counterfeit distribution.
Bombay Dyeing has initiated legal and investigative efforts to trace the source of the counterfeit distribution and identify the individuals involved in the procurement and circulation of these fake products.
