Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail's flagship brand Peter England has introduced a youth-focused menswear sub-brand, VYBE, targeting India's expanding Gen Z demographic. The product lineup includes overshirts, shackets, structured polos, Korean-fit trousers, and oversized apparel priced strictly between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,900. By pricing the full line under Rs 2,000, the enterprise addresses shifting consumer preference toward contemporary, accessible casualwear while insulating its core formalwear segment.
VYBE is an important step in deepening our relevance with Gen Z, offering contemporary products at accessible price points, states Anand Aiyer, Chief Business Officer, Peter England.
Retail footprint and culture-led channel strategy
The retail rollout incorporates a physical footprint across 50 initial brand stores alongside direct-to-consumer digital channels and Myntra. Traditional apparel labels face intense competition from fast-fashion competitors and rising customer acquisition costs online; Peter England counters this by combining music-led cultural campaigns with experiential retail hubs, such as its flagship outlet in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. Industry estimates project youth casualwear to drive over 40 per cent of total Indian menswear growth over the next decade.
Heritage brand scaling across modern retail segments
A part of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Peter England is an established Indian menswear brand originating from its British heritage. Offering formalwear, casual attire, and denim across mid-tier markets, the label operates over 1,000 exclusive stores nationwide. The brand continues expanding via sub-line developments to maintain long-term market dominance and top-line profitability.
