Fabindia,Tanishq,Shoppers Stop on ‘Retail-Expansion Spree’ as economy revives
With the Indian economy showing signs of revival, apparel companies have embarked on an expansion spree.
Retail consulting firm Anarock, in its latest report says, brands closed over 120 lease deals at prominent high street markets across Indian cities and towns between April 2020 and May 2021.
The brand recently opened 30 new brand stores including one store in Khan Market, New Delhi.
Spread across 1,900 sq ft, the store has been created and curated to offer a holistic lifestyle experience.
The launch of concept stores is also part of the firm's larger strategy of being an experiential retail player rather than just an apparel and home décor retailer.
In the next couple of years, the company plans to open more experience centres where customers would get customized offerings, and the opportunity to dine at its Fabcafe.
PP Jewellers by Pawan Gupta has opened a sprawling showroom in tony South Extension.
The store aims to target the niche South Delhi audience.
It is spread across 3 storeys and covers an area of 10,000 square feet
Tanishq and Shoppers Stop also plan to add 10 - 35 stores this year.
Retail chain Shoppers Stop is set to open 11 stores this year.
