Designer Kunal Rawal has launched a children’s wear line called Boyhood. It is aimed at boys 4 to 16 years and features silhouettes coupled with thread work techniques emphasising comfort and functionality.
The collection features traditional as well as fusion looks that include bandhgalas, dhotis, koti jackets, shawls, kurtas, jackets, and sweatshirts and is an amalgamation of modern and intricate designs which also offer an ultimate sense of comfort.
The Kunal Rawal label is a luxury Indian contemporary brand popular for its non-conformist and multi-functional approach toward design; the brand speaks volumes for its cultivated imperfection and unconventional aesthetic while being deeply rooted in its Indian culture.
With signature design elements like knotting techniques, tonal palettes and clever play on textures, Kunal Rawal’s designs are understated and sophisticated.
The brand's embroidery techniques such as French knots, appliquéing, pleating, metallic work, to name a few, have garnered recognition within the Indian fashion circuit and beyond.
Experimental design aesthetic combined with the designer’s expansive knowledge of Indian market has resulted in a strong brand positioning for the label. It has a retail presence across three key markets in India: Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi. This is a menswear brand that intermingles the contemporary with the classic.
