Rupa & Co targets 15-17% revenue growth this year

Knitwear major Rupa & Co aims to grow its revenues by 15-17 percent to over Rs 1,330 crore in 2020-21.

The company plans to merge its wholly-owned premium brand subsidiary Oban Fashions with itself. The merger will take place in the third quarter of 2021-22, thereby giving it a distinct advantage in the Indian market.

Launched in 2018, Oban Fashions has international brands FCUK and Fruit of the Loom under its fold and expects the revenues to reach Rs 40 crore in the current fiscal. With this merger the company expects to increase market share, reduce operational costs, widen product range and expand into new markets, says Dinesh Lodha, CEO, Rupa.

Oban Fashions also plans to grow the domestic business in India, especially in the southern and eastern parts of the country. It expects to grow by 30 percent this year.
