Textile Secretary UP Singh very enthusiastically stated yesterday that albeit as of now only 10 states have expressed interest in PM MITRA which underpins the shapes of things to unfold we are in MoT very confident all others will follow in the larger interest of their states as this shall follow spur in Job creation and attracting (FDI) Foreign Direct Investment.
The 10 states which are already on board for 'PM MITRA'— Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Rajasthan, Punjab.
It is set to pave the way to set up mega textile parks with much-awaited integrated facilities and envious state-of-the-art plug-and-play infrastructure on over 1,000 acres in the coming three years, similar to much acclaimed China and Vietnams of the world.
Besides, attracting cutting-edge technology and giving a much-needed push to inviting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the textile sector; PM-MITRA is exactly what was aspirationally been demanded & expected through the years.
Resultant value capture & creation of an integrated textile value chain right from spinning, weaving dyeing, and printing to garment manufacturing all one-stop/ at one location is a given.
