'Doodlage' launches recycled denim

07 December 2021,  Mumbai:

Sustainable brand Doodlage has launched a recycled denim line. The aim is to reduce textile waste. The brand’s new line of recycled denim features more tailored pencil skirts, relaxed-fit trousers, and patchwork style pieces made from different denim washes.

Red stitching details add a pop of color to the indigo line. Doodlage, based in New Delhi, is a sustainable women’s wear and men’s wear brand with a signature contemporary, casual style. The label emerged out of a concern for global warming and the fashion industry’s impact on the environment.

The aim behind the new line is to keep denim waste from ending up in landfills and polluting the planet. Doodlage uses no chemicals in its manufacturing process.

The brand also uses no new dye and no electricity as it is only using textiles that have been handwoven on a loom. Doodlage retails its new recycled denim line as well as its mainline and other upcycled garments from dedicated e-commerce stores.

The brand focuses on upcycling factory waste to create modern, wearable garments and also retails clothing made from upcycled cotton and other fabrics and lifestyle items.

By joining smaller pieces of contrasting fabric together to create a patchwork effect, Doodlage reuses even small scraps of fabric and has developed its signature luxury craft-core style.
