RPSG's Luxury Leap: Falguni Shane Peacock deal targets global couture domination

RPSG Ventures Ltd. has made a strategic foray into the high-end apparel market by acquiring a 40% stake in FSP Design Private Limited, the entity behind the globally-recognized luxury couture house, Falguni Shane Peacock (FSP). Valued at an enterprise value of ₹455.17 crore, the all-cash deal, announced on November 18, 2025, positions the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group to accelerate the luxury brand's next growth phase.

Indian glamour on a world stage

Falguni Shane Peacock, founded in 2004 by the husband-wife duo Falguni and Shane Peacock, is renowned for its maximalist aesthetic, signature use of feathers, sequins, and bold prints, blending intricate Indian craftsmanship with a modern, rock-and-roll edge. The brand, headquartered in Mumbai with a New York office, has dressed global icons like Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez, building a strong international pedigree in bridal, couture, and ready-to-wear. FSP Design has demonstrated robust growth, reporting revenue of ₹91.75 crore in FY25, up from ₹76.50 crore in FY24.

The retail & expansion playbook

This investment marks RPSG's official entry into the couture segment, complementing its existing presence in the premium lifestyle space (e.g., Quest Mall). According to Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPSG Group, the partnership is "driven by a clear belief: Indian craftsmanship and contemporary design deserve a global stage." The fresh capital is earmarked for aggressive market expansion, retail footprint augmentation (exclusive brand outlets and multi-brand stores), and category diversification—a strategy echoing the recent investments by major Indian conglomerates in designer labels to capitalize on the burgeoning domestic and diaspora luxury demand. RPSG also holds the option to acquire an additional 10% stake in FSP within 18-24 months.
