Hi Life is planning fashion shows in Hyderabad and Bengaluru

Hi Life, a fashion and lifestyle event, will host shopping fairs in Hyderabad and Bengaluru in February to highlight apparel and accessories from a variety of Indian manufacturers.

The Hi Life Exhibition will be held in Hyderabad's Novotel Convention Centre from February 13 to 15, according to event organizers

Hi Life. Women's ethnic, Western, and fusion clothing, purses, accessories, jewelry, and gift items will be among the product categories shown at the business-to-customer shopping event. From February 19 to 21, the event will travel to Bengaluru and take place at the Lalit Ashok hotel in the city.

The shopping expo will have a comparable product and brand selection to that of its Hyderabad iteration, as well as some local Bengaluru names.

Hi Life organizes fashion shows all around the country, including recent events in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Surat, and Raipur. The purpose of the event is to assist up-and-coming companies in the bridge-to-luxury section of the market in growing their client base and allowing shoppers to discover new items.

According to local government laws, the future activities will be held with health and safety safeguards in place to avoid the spread of Covid-19, the organizers declared on Facebook.

SPRING FAIR, UK: CURATED MEETINGS DELIVERS NEW BUSINESS CONNECTIONS & OPPORTUNITIES

Day two of the UK’s leading wholesale marketplace for home, gift and fashion, Spring Fair, saw the official opening and launch of the game-changing Curated Meetings programme uniting actively sourcing buyers from retailers and destinations including Asda, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, and Houstons, with brands such as Filofax, Hill Interiors and Letts of London launching new collections.

Three rounds of Curated Meetings sessions took place today comprising a series of 15 minute meetings between buyers and suppliers. The most valuable part of joining Curated Meetings was to sit down with people and scope out products that we have not sourced previously but that are good opportunities for us.

It has been well organised, easy to find, and been an excellent experience. I was here looking at Party, Festive and Stationery products, but would expand on these sectors.

I will join Curated Meetings again and advise our trading teams to do the same.”

H&M will introduce H&M Home In India

H&M, the world's largest fashion store, is offering home furnishings in India. H&M India has announced the opening of H&M Home in March 2022, which will include a digital shop on hm.com and an e-commerce network called Myntra.

H&M Home will also be offered through a shop-in-shop model at H&M India's current location in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj (Delhi).

H&M Home was founded in 2009 and is noted for its fashionable home décor and accessories. The collection includes everything from high-quality bedlinen and classic tableware to a diverse selection of fabrics, all with a focus on modern style and attention to detail.

H&M Home now has 350 shop-in-shops and 27 freestanding stores across the world, with physical locations in 52 markets. H&M will introduce H&M Home In India

Titan Q3 FY22 Results

03 February 2022, Mumbai:

Titan Company on February 3 reported a 135.6 percent year-on-year growth in net profit to Rs 987 crore for the quarter ended December, sharply beating analysts' estimate of Rs 847 crore.

The consumer discretionary company reported a 30.6 percent on-year growth in revenue from operations to Rs 9,515 crore, which was also above Street's expectations of 9,337 crore.

"The festive purchases in the quarter have driven Titan's strong growth in all businesses of the company and the quarter has turned out to be one of the best quarters in terms of growth and profitability," Managing Director CK Venkataraman said in a press statement.

Besides the festive period, Titan also benefitted from the record wedding season in the country in the previous quarter as the reopening of the economy post the second wave of the pandemic allowed people to undertake weddings that were delayed.

The jewellery business of the company jumped 37 percent on-year to Rs 8,563 crore in the reported quarter. The watches and wearables business of Titan posted a 29 percent on-year growth in sales to Rs 708 crore, while the eyewear operations grew 26 percent.

Coats is scaling up its circular solution: Cooperation at the garment design stage is the way to go

All stakeholders in the textile sector are concerned about sustainability. Coats, one of the most well-known industrial thread makers, is inviting industry brands, manufacturers, and recyclers to work on a new circularity idea that will make end-of-life garment recycling more convenient and cost-effective.

Coats earned $ 1.2 billion in sales in 2020, thanks to a staff of 17,000 workers spread across six continents.

The thread giant is introducing EcoCycle, a kind of water-soluble thread designed to make clothing disassembly easier. According to the firm, it is now trying to scale up its circular solution through cooperation at the garment design stage, according to a statement.

As more companies assume responsibility for the whole life cycle of their goods, it's critical that they incorporate the appropriate threads and applications from the beginning of the creative process.

"We are appealing for industry participants that want to meaningfully participate in end-of-life recycling to engage with us to incorporate it right at the beginning of the garment design," Sonya Manolova, Product Director, Apparel and Footwear, Coats, stated. Together, we can improve our present first-generation EcoCycle product to help our industry move closer to circularity."

It's worth noting that the textile industry consumes around 100 million tonnes of new fibers each year, and that nearly 90% of textile fibers end up in a waste stream — either incineration or landfill.

The fashion industry has not embraced recycling, owing to the fact that most clothing has components composed of a variety of materials and composites.

Although the disassembly process is tedious, labor-intensive, and expensive, many of the individual fibers are reused at the end of their useful lives.

Approximately 25% of clothing is never worn, with freshly purchased clothes being stuffed into closets and forgotten about until they are finally tossed into the waste stream.

Coats has revolutionized an aspect of its core product offering with the introduction of EcoCycle, after decades of creating and producing threads to keep clothing together.

The new thread maintains its resilience throughout the life of the garment, whereas seams sewed with EcoCycle disintegrate when washed in an industrial machine at 95 degrees Celsius.

This allows the garment to be deconstructed easily and rapidly by simply pulling it apart, allowing the non-textile and textile components to be separated and recycled.

"As an industry, we need to reset the basics in order to guarantee supply chain circularity," said Andrew Morgan, Coats' Head of Sustainability. "Sustainable innovation flips the script on product creation by focusing on the end of life first, before figuring out how to make it."

Garden of Eden by Inayat, a luxury fashion and lifestyle event, has announced new dates for its spring edition, with the goal of bringing together businesses from across India to present their latest products.

The Sutlej Club in Ludhiana will host a business-to-customer shopping expo from March 19 to 20, with free admission for everybody, according to the event organizers on Facebook. Clothing, footwear, and accessories, furniture and home décor, beauty, children's wear, designer dog wear, and travel and education will be among the featured product categories.

The Crystal Cave by Priya Gumber, Naziya Couture Jalandhar, Vibrant India, Stoles & More, Pinky's Designer, and Kasually Klassy are among the fashion firms that will take part in the event.

Inayat's Garden of Eden has announced a March shopping event

IIJS Signature 2022: 18th-21st February, 2022 At BEC, Mumbai

31 January 2022, Mumbai:

IIJS Signature 2022, the most-awaited jewellery event of the first half of the year, has been now rescheduled to be held from 18th – 21st February at Bombay Exhibition Centre Goregaon, NESCO.

The show was initially scheduled in first week of January 2022, but Council decided to postpone the show due to surge in Covid-19 cases at that point of time.

Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC, said, “IIJS Signature is an important jewellery show of the calendar, which caters to the sourcing needs of Gem & Jewellery retailers and wholesellers from across the world.

GJEPC is encouraged by the fact that more than 871 exhibitors are participating in the show, occupying 1,472 booths. More than 12,000 visitors have already registered for the event, which indicates that the market is yearning for design innovation and refilling their inventory.

Shailesh Sangani, Convener, National Exhibitions of the Council stated that "IIJS Signature was planned in early January, however due to the pandemic scenario in India that were beyond our control, the show had to be postponed.

Now, as the Covid cases are receding in Maharashtra and circumstances seem favourable, we are all geared up to organise the show from 18th to 21st February at NESCO. We are fortunate to have the support of our exhibitors and visitors, whose participation makes this show a grand success every year.”

Colin Shah, Chairman also informed that “The industry has recovered well from the pandemic low point, and we are expecting to close the fiscal year on a positive note with exports of close to USD 41.67 billion, and IIJS Signature will give the industry the required boost in the final quarter.”

 

IIJS Signature 2022 will have well-defined and simplified product sections which include Gold & Gold CZ Studded Jewellery; Diamond, Gemstone & Other Studded Jewellery; Silver Jewellery, Artifacts & Gifting Items; Loose Stones, and Laboratories & Education.

GJEPC will follow all Government-mandated Covid-19 protocols to ensure the safety of all concerned. All attendees are required to comply with covid safety protocols as per the State Government norms.

GJEPC will maintain highest level of hygiene standards in the entire exhibition area. There will be mandatory thermal scans and hand sanitization at the entry points. Entry will be permitted only to visitors with at least two vaccine doses.
