Indian shoppers 'BLACK FRIDAY' mania v/s Diwali sales shopping!

27 November 2021, Mumbai:

Black Friday is celebrated in the US on the Friday following Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday three days after it. This year, the two dates are November 26 and 29.

These two days have been big shopping festivals in the US and much of the western world for decades. Most brands extend the sales and offer to Indian markets as well, something that savvy shoppers are increasingly taking advantage of.

Abhishek Awasthi from Gurgaon, a recent convert to Black Friday sales, tells us, "Most brands and shopping portals have their mega sales around the Indian festive season. But the problem is that it gets so busy on those sites at that point that everything gets sold out almost immediately.

Also, since brands rush to cater to everyone, at times, quality gets overlooked. I prefer the deals on Black Friday because it isn't as crowded, and you can take your time."

The question one should be asking is," ARE BLACK FRIDAY SALES BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL INDIAN FESTIVAL SALES"?.
