PUMA: “Forever Faster” spirit taken to the World Athletics Championships

Sports company PUMA will outfit 12 federations and several medal contenders at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, and provide them with its latest Nitro technology, so they can perform at their best.

Ever since its foundation in 1948, it has been the company’s philosophy to provide the fastest athletes with the fastest products, an attitude summarized in the brand’s motto “Forever Faster.”

In Eugene, individual PUMA athletes, performing in PUMA’s footwear technology, include 400m hurdles world-record holder Karsten Warholm, pole vault world-record holder Armand "Mondo" Duplantis, triple Olympic medalist Andre De Grasse, Ukrainian indoor high-jump world champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh, triple jumpers Patricia Marmona and Will Claye and many more.

The athletics federations of Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, the British Virgin Islands, Cuba, Jamaica, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Switzerland, and Trinidad and Tobago will all perform in PUMA apparel.

“Track and field are sports and athleticism in its purest form and embedded in the very core of PUMA,” said PUMA CEO Bjørn Gulden. “We are proud that many world records were set in our shoes and we are looking to our athletes writing the next chapter in sports history in Eugene.”.

Monte Carlo Fashions: Reports for Q1 FY23

11 July 2022, Mumbai:

Monte Carlo Fashions reports over two-fold revenue growth in Q1 FY23.

Apparel brand Monte Carlo Fashions on Friday reported over two-fold revenue growth of 130 per cent in the April-June quarter this fiscal, helped by volume growth and price increase.

Monte Carlo is focusing on a diversification strategy, emphasising more on the cotton segment than the woolens. Cotton added over 50 percent share of total fiscal ’21 revenues. Monte Carlo has 300 exclusive brand outlets, 2,500 multi-brand outlets, and 321 national chain stores.

It also sells online through e-commerce firms like Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra, among others. The brand’s collection caters to men, women, and tweens and includes a huge category of shirts, tops, T-shirts, tunics, shorts, jeans, trousers, dresses, tracksuits, and more.

The range for men features varied options in formal and casual wear including T-shirts, shirts, trousers, linen shirts, lowers, tracksuits and Bermudas. Women’s western wear includes crop tops, shorts, shrugs, denim dresses, linen tops, and more.

Formal wear includes tops and shirts in millennial shades that can be easily paired with pencil skirts and trousers. The fusion wear range comprises tunics, leggings, etc.

The latest trends and styles Monte Carlo is offering this season include polo T-shirts in striped, microprint, and patchwork patterns. The company’s large variety of winter wear contributes around 75 percent of its sales.

Apart from thrust on retail network expansion, the company also accelerated its digital and Omni channels during the quarter.

Danish women’s wear brand B. Copenhagen has launched in the Indian market with a dedicated e-commerce store and a social media platform for the country. The brand is also opening a store in New Delhi. The India e-commerce store has launched with the brand’s spring/ summer 2022 collection.

The website has dedicated segments for tops, capris, denim, and dresses, among other smart casual separates from the line.

Asics: Gurugram's Ambience Mall Store Launched

08 July 2022, Mumbai:

Japanese sports performance brand Asics has opened its new store in Gurugram @ Ambience Mall. The high-profile opening also saw Bollywood actor and brand ambassador Tiger Shroff attend the proceedings.

Asics India clocked wholesales of around Rs 200 crore last year. The company is witnessing a growth in the 'performance' segment, with the category accounting for around 60 per cent of total sales. It aims to be a leading sports brand in future.

Currently, digital sales account for 35 percent of its total sales in India, as per Rajat Khurana, Managing Director. This may increase to 50 percent in the next two-three years, he adds.
