KAZO brand’s KZ07 launched its new store in Model Town Market, Jalandhar.

The collection titled KZ07 NY mixes shades of grey and neutrals with neon and bright hues. Garments in the collection have a basic yet impactful style.

Asics: Gurugram's Ambience Mall Store Launched

08 July 2022, Mumbai:

Japanese sports performance brand Asics has opened its new store in Gurugram @ Ambience Mall. The high-profile opening also saw Bollywood actor and brand ambassador Tiger Shroff attend the proceedings.

Asics India clocked wholesales of around Rs 200 crore last year. The company is witnessing a growth in the 'performance' segment, with the category accounting for around 60 per cent of total sales. It aims to be a leading sports brand in future.

The online channel is expected to account for 50 percent of Japanese sportswear brand Asics’ total sales in India in the next two-three years. The company’s local arm Asics India is also expanding its retail network by setting up retail stores across the country.

Currently, digital sales account for 35 percent of its total sales in India, as per Rajat Khurana, Managing Director. This may increase to 50 percent in the next two-three years, he adds.

Scoop are delighted to announce sustainable womenswear label, My Sleeping Gypsy, will be showcasing their latest collection at Scoop from 17-19 July 2022 at Olympia West.

Founded and based in Kiev, Ukraine, the collection focuses on the traditional Vyshyvanka craft of dressmaking where dresses were passed from mother to daughter with the intention of bringing good luck.

Made up of five female owners and founders; Angela Hertault, Katya Hermann, Stasya Nemyrovska, Tanya Kurylovich, and Elena Vakulchik, My Sleeping Gypsy, encapsulates Ukrainian traditions and heritage, blending these with contemporary practices. Each design can be referred to as a canvas in which both traditional and contemporary artists work together to form a unique vision.

The garments are complex and require a set of skills that goes beyond anything that can be reproduced in a factory.  The collections are created by artisans who carry forward a heritage and depth of precise skill that has been acquired through years of experience and generational knowledge. Each garment requires the mastery of around five individuals to complete it. 

In the atelier during production, one item is passed back and forth between people who apply their part of the craft which can take 3 – 5 days to produce one dress.

Sustainability, biodiversity, and animal welfare are also at the heart of My Sleeping Gypsy as all materials are animal-free materials and are sourced locally, which helps support small craft communities.
