Raymond appoints Sunil Kataria as CEO, Lifestyle Business

Raymond Limited has appointed Sunil Kataria as the new CEO of Lifestyle Business.

In his new role, Kataria will lead the next phase of growth by driving the digital agenda and strengthening the brand’s presence in domestic and international markets.

With Kataria's appointment, the company has strengthened its leadership team by on-boarding the seasoned professional reckoned for leading large-scale business transformations and creating strong consumer brands in India and Southeast Asia.

In his new role, Kataria will drive the ongoing transformation to create a future-ready Raymond that intersperses digital and physical experiences while infusing freshness to the product portfolio to drive growth.

With customer-centricity at the core, Raymond has been driving an enterprise-wide transformation aimed at harnessing the unprecedented digital opportunity.

The Lifestyle Business is the flagship vertical of Raymond Group which includes branded textiles, garmenting, shirting, retail, and apparel business including brands such as - Raymond, Raymond Ready-to-Wear, Raymond Made to Measure, Park Avenue, ColorPlus, Parx, and Ethnix by Raymond.

During his earlier stint as the CEO of Godrej Consumer Products, Kataria led the business operations of India and South East Asia. He spearheaded the transformation of the business – driving performance and best in class financial results and building a great workplace.

Having over 30 years of experience, Kataria has worked with eminent names such as Marico and Idea Cellular. Currently, he also serves as the chairman of The Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA).

*The Satyam Fashion Institute showcased an array of fashion designs by its graduating students on the ramp at Triptych 2022 in Noida and the fashion show was designed to celebrate and uplift women.

The Satyam Fashion Institute’s annual fashion show was momentarily paused during Covid-19 but returned this year on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, the institute announced in a press release.

“Each year we aim to make a difference in the design industry, the way people dress, the way people perceive clothes,” said Satyam Fashion Institute’s show organiser and principal Vandana Jaglan in a press release.

Adidas replace its China chief

10 March 2022, Mumbai:

Adidas announces new China chief as it looks to revive sales.

Adidas (ADSGn.DE) has replaced its China chief, it said on Tuesday, as the German sportwear brand looks to revive sales in the world's second largest economy.

The company has appointed Adrian Siu to take over from Jason Thomas, who became Adidas Greater China's managing director in 2019, it said.

Siu has held multiple roles with Adidas in Hong Kong and Shanghai and also served as the chief executive of Chinese fashion label Cosmo Lady.

Thomas will assume the role of senior vice president, global franchise, Adidas added.

Paris Fashion Week 2022: “La Vie en Rose” for Valentino

09 March 2022, Mumbai:

It was “La Vie en Rose” for Valentino, who headlined Sunday’s segment of Paris Fashion Week with a daring yet triumphant pink collection.

Meanwhile, VIP guests including Lewis Hamilton and Zendaya had to negotiate A-list arrivals without their luxury wheels, during a car-free day in the capital’s centre.

All-encompassing pink decor sprawled across Le Carreau du Temple in Le Marais, bathed peach in sections by the Parisian spring sun.

This was a Valentino collection like no other – where most of the exhaustive, often-minimalist, 81 looks were delivered in shocking pink.

Valentino got “pretty in pink” with its bold new autumn/winter 2022 ready-to-wear collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week on March 6.

Raw Mango launches new campaign in collaboration with Netflix

Sanjay Garg’s luxury women’s wear brand Raw Mango has launched a new campaign titled ‘Now Streaming’ in collaboration with Netflix India and a host of women in the Indian film and television industry.

Featuring actresses Prajakta Koli, Neelam Kothari, Madhuri Dixit, Aahana Kumra, Zayn Marie Khan, Anchal Singh,Rytasha Rathore, Amruta Subhash, Shweta Tripathi, and Taapsee Pannu. Producers Chandani Dabas, Ashwini Yardi, and Sarita Patil alongside filmmaker and writer Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and digital creator Kusha Kapila etc, the campaign changes the perspective of women in Indian cinema.
