He is a noted Indian fashion designer and couturier from New Delhi, India. He founded the House of Valaya, a luxury fashion and lifestyle house in 1992, along with his brother TJ Singh. 

The new brand debuts with an eco-conscious collection made from TENCE LUXE filament yarn. 

Derived from renewable wood sources in a closed-loop lyocell process, TENCEL LUXE filament yarn is set to define the luxury fashion landscape with its silky softness, liquid drape, vibrant color, and strength.

This year, as the luxury occasion wear brand celebrates its 30th year in fashion, it takes a step further by launching its all-new bridge-to-luxury brand, JJV.

Enrich launches new multi-brand beauty store in Mumbai

14 March 2022, Mumbai:

Enrich, a multi-brand beauty retailer, has opened a new store in Mumbai’s Infinity Mall, combining the company’s beauty services with products from a variety of Indian and foreign brands, as well as interactive features.

Enrich’s CEO, Vivek Bali, told India Retailing, “So, we merged beauty retail with beauty services.” “And this Infinity Mall, Malad [Mumbai] store, at 5000 square feet, is undoubtedly the largest in Bombay, and maybe the largest in India.” It also includes beauty, retail, and beauty services.

We have roughly 80 brands in beauty retail, and they range from luxury to premium to, you know, mass storage.”

The new store includes several interactive features, such as a lipstick bar where customers can create their own custom lipstick shade.

In-store services include personalised skincare consultations and makeovers.

Through this collaboration, Pearl Academy will be providing an opportunity to the students to directly interact with India's key designers for a more immersive experience of the high-tech fashion industry.

Dash & Dot's Fall/Winter Collection empowers Indian artisans and forges a link between the global fashion industry and India's time-honored techniques.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee launches traditional wear range on Instagram

Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee turned to social media to showcase its new traditional wear collection.

Mukherjee launched his latest bridal wear collection with a display of photos and videos on Instagram on March 10. Titled, ‘Heritage Bridal’.

The collection puts classic bridal aesthetics front and center with copious amounts of red and gold and glittering embellishments.

The collection also features an array of bridal jewelry from Mukherjee’s jewellery line.

The jewelry harked back to antique craftsmanship and the large-scale pieces featured lashings of diamonds and gemstones.

For most brides, wedding jewelry isn’t just an investment, it’s an heirloom that can become part of a legacy that transcends time, adds Mukherjee.

The ancient and nearly forgotten techniques of this new jewelry range like double jadai, langar- pohai, and naqash provides an insight into the jewelry worn by our ancestors, adds Mukherjee.

Shanghai Fashion Week,2022: Postponed

11 March 2022, Mumbai:

The Fall/Winter edition of China’s most important fashion week event was originally scheduled to be held from Mar. 25 to Apr. 1.

New dates have not been announced.

The postponement comes as China’s financial capital battles its most serious outbreak of Covid-19 since early 2020, dozens of new cases have been identified in Shanghai in recent days and various parts of the city have heightened restrictions.

This is the second time Shanghai Fashion Week has postponed its event in recent years due to Covid-19 outbreaks.

Tarun Tahiliani: To hold showcase events in March @Hyderabad & Kolkata

14 March 2022, Mumbai:

Traditional and bridal wear designer Tarun Tahiliani will hold showcase events in Hyderabad and Kolkata this March to launch the new festive collection 'Here Comes The Sun'.

From March 23 to 27, Tarun Tahiliani will hold a bridal and festive showcase in its flagship store in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, the designer announced on his eponymous brand’s Facebook page.

The brand will then hold a similar bridal showcase event at its flagship store in Kolkata from March 30 to April 3.

The business-to-customer showcase events are designed to give shoppers in Hyderabad and Kolkata their first chance to browse the collection and select their occasion wear ensembles for the spring festive season or any upcoming weddings.
