RELIANCE BRANDS LIMITED (RBL) and Plastic Legno SPA have signed a joint venture arrangement through which RBL will acquire a 40% stake in Plastic Legno SPA’s toy manufacturing business in India.

This investment by RBL serves a dual purpose, bringing in vertical integration for RBL’s toy business and helping diversify
the supply chain with a long-term strategic interest in building toy manufacturing in India.

Puma India: Looks to enter Maldives

Puma has partnered with Maldives-based sports brand Sonee Sports to expand its offline retail presence in the new market.

ABFRL to raise funds through equity shares and warrants

26 May 2022, Mumbai:

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) will raise Rs 2,195 crore in funds by issuing equity shares and warrants to an affiliate of Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC.

The company will use this capital to expand existing businesses and grow emerging high-growth business models.

Ashish Dikshit, Managing Director says, the investment will enable the company to build a strong portfolio of brands and develop its retail formats.

In the current fiscal ended March 31, 2022, ABFRL increased its total income to Rs 8,236 crore as compared to Rs 5,322 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year ended March 31, 2021.

Campus Activewear Ltd on Tuesday reported net profit of Rs 39.60 crore and revenue from operation of Rs 352.33 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2022.

Bata Sneaker sales drive growth

29 May 2022, Mumbai:

Bata India has seen high demand for its sneakers with the sneaker segment growing by 33% in the FY 2022.

Prior to the pandemic, sneakers made up 15% of Bata’s total sales and now this has increased to 20%.
