Miniklub has opened a store in Bihar.

The store retails Miniklub’s range of children’s garments, footwear, personal care goods, and gift items. The store also retails the brand’s accessories line, which includes diaper bags, among other designs.

Miniklub launched in 2013 as a babywear brand and currently has a presence in over 450 multi-brand brick-and-mortar stores as well as a presence on a variety of e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, and Ajio, among others. The brand has 45 exclusive brand outlets spread across 26 Indian cities.

Bangalore alone has ten stores. Miniklubis one of India’s leading babywear brands that offer a thoughtfully crafted range of apparel and baby care products. Essential clothing retailer Modenik Lifestyle is looking to expand its premium casual wear portfolio under its legacy men’s innerwear brand Dixcy.

Modenik is the merged entity of Dixcy Textiles and Enamor’s parent company Gokaldas Intimatewear. Dixcy is three times the size of Enamor. Modenik’s endeavor now is to maintain leadership in existing markets and grow in markets of new opportunities.

The company is recording a 20 per cent year-on-year growth in men’s wear. At a percentage level Enamor’s numbers will look higher but at an absolute level Dixcy is larger.

When women's intimate wear brand Enamor started as a bra-centric brand, the company has refocused its strategy and pivoted to grow across panties and shapewear and athleisurewear. Modenik is seeing year-on-year growth of 40 per cent to 45 per cent for Enamor. The company is opening seven to ten Enamor stores every quarter and is aiming to double the EBO count in the next 12 to 15 months.

Presently, Enamor sells through 4,000 multi-brand outlets and 52 EBOs across Tier I and II cities. While the company is exploring the idea of EBOs, Dixcy is primarily a mass-distributed brand. Currently, Dixcy Scott is available across 1,00,000 stores.The company gets the majority of its sales offline and about 20 per cent via e-commerce and online channels.

Ed-a-Mamma has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a casual wear line for teens called Edheads.

The clothing line is targeted at teens between the ages of 11 and 17 years. Ed-a-Mamma is Alia Bhatt’s children’s wear brand. The brand has already introduced maternity wear and children’s wear and clothing for young adults felt like the natural next step since Gen Z is more socially aware and environmentally conscious and that is the community the brand wants to nurture.

Ed-a-Mamma which started in October 2020 currently retails from its dedicated e-commerce store as well as from a wide array of multi-brand online platforms like FirstCry, Ajio, and Myntra, among others.

The brand also plans to strengthen its domestic retail presence and diversify its portfolio by launching new categories to cater to a wider audience. Plans are to expand more into the infant segment and add more vertical categories in and around the space of family care. Ed-a-Mamma plans to enter international markets by launching the brand in the UAE and Europe next year.

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail in partnership with Galeries Lafayette will open luxury department stores in Mumbai and New Delhi.

The aim is to combine Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail’s deep and nuanced understanding of the Indian landscape on the back of its portfolio of designer brands with Galeries Lafayette’s global experience and create a world-class destination for Indian consumers and global luxury brands.

The partnership with Galeries Lafayette is seen as an endorsement of India’s significance as a global luxury market and a future engine of growth for luxury brands.These stores will bring more than 200 luxury and designer brands under one roof. The 90,000 sqft flagship store in Mumbai is expected to be operational by 2024 and will be housed across a building currently being designed by the architectural firm Virgile & Partners, which has worked extensively on storied department stores globally. The 65,000 sqft store in Delhi, expected to be operational in 2025, will be at a luxury mall.

Galeries Lafayette is known globally for its flagship store in Paris. The French department store giant has 65 stores globally. Aditya Birla’s portfolio includes Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England and fashion retailer Pantaloons.

Navyasa by Liva has partnered with Deepika Padukone to launch its latest traditional wear collection for the winter festive season.

The women’swear brand’s new launch features two new textiles Liva Sheen and Liva Shimmer with zari.

The collection was designed by design duo Abirr N’ Nanki of the luxury brand Limerick and using fabrics by Liva. This new collection also features a wider array of garments than its maiden collection this year. More fusion styles such as tunics, kaftans, tops, dresses, capes, and jumpsuits are rendered in its signature Liva textiles to offer a comprehensive wardrobe solution.

VIP Clothing’s total income was Rs 53.7840 crores during the period ended September 30, 2022, as compared to Rs 52.2649 crores during the period ended June 30, 2022.

Net profit / loss was Rs 1.5933 crores for the period ended September 30, 2022, as against net profit / loss of Rs 2.0202 crores for the period ended June 30, 2022. EPS was Rs 0.19 for the period ended September 30, 2022, as compared to Rs 0.24 for the period ended June 30, 2022, as compared to Rs 0.26 for the period ended September 30, 2021.

Total income was Rs 106.0489 crores during the six month period ended September 30, 2022, as compared to Rs 84.8198 crores during the sixmonth period ended September 30, 2021.

Net profit / loss was Rs 0.4269 crores for the six month period ended September 30, 2022, as against net profit / loss of Rs 1.8958 crores for the six month period ended September 30, 2021. EPS was Rs 0.05 for the six month period ended September 30, 2022, as compared to Rs 0.23 for the six month period ended September 30, 2021.

For Arrow formal wear contributes the highest followed by the sports range. The brand is trying to be more contemporary in the post-Covid scenario and has been growing this year above the pre-pandemic level. Diwali 2022 grew by double digits when compared to the 2021 and was much higher when compared to 2019 and 2020.

Currently the brand’s expansion is focused on mostly Tier II cities. Tier III presence is through two channels – multi-brand outlets and online efforts. The brand is investing money in larger stores in either metro or Tier I markets since that’s where growth is happening.

The sales contribution of online channels was at 11 per cent in 2018. Now it is around 17 per cent but doesn’t include omni-channel contribution. Omni-channel is upwards of eight per cent to nine percent and the endeavour is to push it to 12 per cent to 15 per cent.

Arrow has been in India since 1993 and apart from premium formal shirts has offerings across Arrow Sport, Arrow New York, Arrow Woman, and products from denim to sweatshirts to jackets to T-shirts to suits to accessories.

Arrow is a legacy brand, which has the legacy of starting the formal collars and therefore has an expertise in this category.

For the second quarter Page Industries’ revenue from operations was up 15 per cent. Total expenses were up 19 per cent. Historically, this has been the best second quarter for the apparel maker in terms of revenue.

The company is well in line with its guidance of delivering robust growth on the back of strong levers such as increased shift in organised retail, increased branded innerwear demand and growing aspirations for global brands.

Page Industries, the exclusive licensee of the American clothing brand Jockey, produces 260 million garment pieces annually, with 70 per cent of the volume produced in-house and 30 per cent outsourced. It has 14 manufacturing units. For Page Industries, the sales momentum picked up significantly after the setbacks of the global pandemic. The premium innerwear and athleisure marketer saw increased momentum in sales across all product categories backed by expansion in its portfolio and existing network and is well poised and remains optimistic on delivering sustainable growth in the foreseeable future. Page Industries is setting up a new facility in Orissa. This will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capacity.The upcoming facility is spread over 6.5 lakh sqft and will add at least 20 per cent to capacity.

For the second quarter Dollar Industries’ net profit fell by 60 percent. The company’s revenue for the quarter was down by 12 percent. On a six-month basis, revenue grew by 18 percent. Domestic sales showed a growth of ten percent in terms of volume while modern trade and e-commerce sale showed a growth of 67 percent in terms of volume on a six-month basis.

During the first half of the fiscal year, Dollar opened eight exclusive brand outlets and plans to open around 12 more stores in the coming months. Kolkata-based knitwear manufacturer Dollar is one of the leading players in the innerwear and athleisure segment with a strong presence across India.

Dollar always tries to maintain the EBITDA margin at 16 per cent or 17 per cent. Big Boss is the flagship brand. The premium product now accounts for around 42 per cent of the Dollar’s total turnover and the economy range is around 58 per cent.

Until now, the company had a very limited presence in the women’s innerwear category. But this year Dollar has already launched brassiere in the Missy segment and has also launched Kurtis. Some more products are lined up.
