DaMENSCH eyes itself as a lifestyle brand

Cadicagroup acquires Varcotex

02 April 2022, Mumbai:

Cadicagroup, an Italian label, and hangtag manufacturer have just completed its fourth purchase in three years.

Varcotex, a Capri-based trimmings manufacturer, has been bought by the firm.

Varcotex specializes in the development, design, and production of labeling, hangtags, packaging, and brand protection.

Varcotex CEO Paolo Munari expressed his delight at the opportunity to apply his technological expertise to one of the major organizations in the fashion accessories sector for the luxury category.

Cadicagroup will become the first group in Europe to offer research excellence and 'Made in Italy' production services to its customers, according to the CEO, thanks to its investment in research, design, and product innovation.

The brand, which sells women's bottom-wear clothing under Go Colors, is boosting omnichannel engagements for a seamless consumer experience, building on a technology-driven growth strategy to reach consumers in Tier-I to Tier-III cities, and realizing its expansion plans for current and emerging markets, it said in a statement after opening its 500th exclusive brand outlet in India.

Nautica, returns to the UK & Europe

02 April 2022, Mumbai:

The American fashion brand Nautica has announced its return to the UK and Europe. The label's relaunch is a fantastic combination of fashion and traditional elements.

However, the revival of the younger Nautica Competition label is significant. Head of Design Tim Peck has given both Nautica and Nautica Competition a new look.

"We pride ourselves on giving our customers trend-led products at an affordable price range," Jennie Bianco, Head of Marketing, Focus, said of the launch.

Biba: Goes places Opening Store In Tokyo

Biba recently launched its spring/summer 2022 collection ‘Many Shades One Me’ online and in its pan-India store network. Featuring a range of fusion wear, the bright, floral collection offers flowing layers and delicate, embroidered and beaded details.

Barcelona to open 200 stores by March 2023

31 March 2022, Mumbai:

After opening its latest retail outlet in Patna, Bihar, Stitched Textiles’s menswear brand Barcelona plans to open 200 stores across India by March 2023.

Barcelona’s new store in Patna features a wide range of men’s western-style casual wear including an entire wall dedicated to denim.

The spacious store houses a wide array of logo and slogan t-shirts as well as more formal blazers and accessories.

Barcelona also plans to scale up its business-to-business mobile app that is designed to facilitate the business’ wholesale retail operations and expand its distribution network.

In order to scale up its operations, the business will hire an additional 300 sales officers.

Barcelona to open 200 stores by March 2023

True Religion, hires a Columbia Sportswear veteran

True Religion has named Scott McCabe, a Columbia Sportswear veteran, as Senior Vice President of the company's e-commerce segment.

Scott has 25 years of expertise working with prestigious worldwide brands and stores such as Columbia Sportswear, Macy's, Gap, Banana Republic, and Tailored Brands.

Michael Buckley, CEO of True Religion, expressed his delight at the appointment, saying that Scott's skills will help the company triple its e-commerce revenue and attain 50% e-commerce sales penetration by 2025.

True Religion's restructuring plan helped the company minimize operational costs, reduce debt, and become profitable once it exited Chapter 11 in 2020, according to the CEO.

Crombie & Fitch purchased by private investors

31 March 2022, Mumbai:

Crombie, the British heritage brand, has been purchased for an unknown value by a newly established corporation funded by private investors.

Crombie 1805 is directed by MD Gordon Ritchie, who has the support of a number of private investors.

Brown Rudnick, in particular, counseled the acquirers. Gordon allegedly informed the media that he wants to give Crombie a fresh lease of life, as well as raise the heritage brand's global prominence.
